"Enough laugh lines, mirth provoking situations and extravagant sight gags to outfit two rapid fire farces of the absurd."
— Variety
Pack your bags for a stay at the Howard Johnson Motor Inn — where the beds are lumpy, the tempers are hot, and murder is always suspiciously close at hand. In this razor sharp comedy of errors, a messy love triangle erupts into three increasingly outrageous attempts at homicide, each more ridiculous than the last.
Arlene wants passion. Mitchell wants Arlene. And Paul? He just wants to make it out alive. As schemes unravel and alliances shift, no one can quite manage the perfect crime — but everyone is determined to try.
What follows is a riotous night of betrayal, backstabbing, and killer laughs. With extravagant sight gags, rapid fire dialogue, and absurd twists at every turn, this madcap farce keeps the chaos coming. It’s a big, bold, physical comedy — the kind of gleeful mayhem that plays beautifully in a room full of people ready to laugh together.

Meet the cast & crew
Rachelle Kosokowsky
"Arlene Miller"
Rachelle is pleased to be celebrating her 10th show on stage with Mini Fridge Theatre Company.
You last saw Rachelle in It’s Murder in the Wings! by Pat Cook, Ken Ludwig’s The Game’s Afoot, The Ladies Foursome by Norm Foster, and See How They Run by Philip King, among others.
Rachelle would like to thank her spouse and son for their continuous, ongoing support.
Thank you for coming out and supporting live theatre. Enjoy the show!
Sean Kapell
"Mitchell Lovell"
Sean Kapell is delighted to return to the stage with Mini Fridge Theatre Company in its 10th anniversary season, appearing as Mitchell in Murder at the Howard Johnson’s.
A familiar face with the company, Sean has been part of several past productions, bringing his sharp comedic timing and engaging presence to each role.
He’s thrilled to be back celebrating a decade of bold, inventive theatre in Saskatoon.
Steven Prediger
"Paul Miller"
Steven is making his long‑awaited return to the stage after a brief, completely insignificant 20‑year break. In the meantime, he has stayed involved in theatre by directing middle‑school musicals for the past decade — an experience that has sharpened his instincts, strengthened his patience, and, most importantly, lowered his expectations.
After years of reminding students to remember their lines, speak louder, and face the audience, he is cautiously optimistic that he might remember to do those things himself. His time away from being on stage has given him a new appreciation for the organized chaos of live performance, and he’s looking forward to now being part of the problem again with Mini Fridge Theatre.
This is Steven’s first performance with Mini Fridge Theatre, and he is thrilled to be back on stage — fully prepared to forget things, with astonishing confidence, in front of a live audience.
Michael Neuert
Director
Michael has enjoyed directing this production.
It has been a wonderful cast and crew to spend time with.
He hopes you enjoy the show.
Lindsay Woods
Stage Manager
This is Lindsay’s fifth production with Mini Fridge Theatre Company. She last appeared on stage as Karen Brown in Season 8’s Unnecessary Farce by Paul Slade Smith, and assisted backstage during Season 7’s Weekend Comedy by Jeanne and Sam Bobrick and Season 9’s We Must Kill Toni by Ian Stuart Black before being promoted to Stage Manager for Season 10’s Halfway There by Norm Foster.
She was also involved in several on‑ and off‑stage roles with Swift Current Little Theatre from 2013–2018.
She hopes you have a wonderful night and enjoy all the shenanigans and tomfoolery.
Abdel Ahmad
Assistant Stage Manager
Abdel is a theatre enthusiast with a Theatre Arts degree from Jordan. Bald as a bowling ball, but his beard has a superpower — it makes people forget all about his shiny head!
Abdel has called Saskatoon home for the past 20 years, with most of his theatrical work being part of the drama club at his workplace. Classical music is the soundtrack of his life.
When he’s not on or around the stage, you’ll find him playing soccer or volleyball — probably pretending he’s still in his prime!

Northern Nights: a comedy country musical
Presented at Mini Fridge Theatre Company May 21, 22 & 23 — Tickets $75
As our 10th season draws to a close, we’re delighted to welcome a visiting company from Calgary as they bring their interactive musical dinner theatre comedy Northern Nights to our stage. It’s a lively way to keep the laughter going as we wrap up a milestone year and look ahead to what’s next.
Step back into a rowdy 1800s saloon where the whiskey flows, the boots are dusty, and the night’s entertainment takes a delightfully unexpected turn. Filled with the music of country legends like Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and Shania Twain, this high‑spirited show follows the return of Shania McQueen — the Wild Rose of the West — as she prepares to perform for her hometown crowd. With colourful locals, a newcomer from across the pond, and a deputy doing his best to keep order, the evening quickly becomes a classic “whodunnit” full of laughter, music, and mystery.
Tickets on sale through the MFT Box Office April 20.
