"Hysterically funny!"
— News-Leader.com

When the biggest highlight in your life for the past 30 years has been your weekly bridge night out with the "girls," what do you do when one of your foursome inconveniently dies?

If you're Connie, Leona, and Millie—three southern ladies from Birmingham, Alabama—you do the most daring thing you've ever done. You "borrow" the ashes from the funeral home for one last card game, and have the wildest, most exciting night of your lives involving a police raid, a stripper, and a whole new way of looking at all the fun you can have when you're truly living!

Meet the cast & crew

Dawn_Bell_4

Dawn Bell

"Connie Harland"

Dawn has been working with Mini Fridge Theatre Company since 2017 and spent many years before that acting with Gateway Players and McClure United Church Dinner Theatre. Of the many shows she’s done, this is definitely one of her favourites and she hopes it’s one of yours too! Dawn is very excited to be playing Connie alongside this wonderfully talented cast.

She sends a big thank you to her hubby, Trevor, and all the friends and family who have supported her acting addiction!

Denise_Dobko

Denise Dobko

"Leona"

This is Denise’s second Mini Fridge show. Prior, she spent 25 years in theatre productions with the Langenburg Arts Council.

Exit Laughing is near and dear to Denise as she knows what it is like to lose a lifetime bestie. Denise dedicates her performance to Gloria. Gloria has shown Denise what it means to truly live and die well.

Denise is thrilled to work with so many talented people. She is grateful to her family and friends who tirelessly keep coming to her performances!

And to her besties in the audience — keep the laughter coming!

Headshot of actor Jodie Lonsberry from Saskatoon's dinner theatre Mini Fridge Theatre Company

Jodie Lonsberry

"Millie"

Jodie Lonsberry is thrilled to be returning to the stage with Mini Fridge Theatre Company in Exit Laughing by Paul Elliott. A familiar face to Mini Fridge audiences, Jodie has previously appeared in Marc Camoletti’s Don’t Dress for Dinner and several other productions with the company.

Her love of theatre began with performances in the University of Saskatchewan’s drama department and continued with many memorable roles at Off Broadway Dinner Theatre.

Jodie is grateful to be part of such a talented cast and is excited to share this hilarious show with you.

Enjoy the laughs!

Matt_Letkeman

Matthew Letkeman

"Bobby"

Matthew Letkeman is excited to be doing his first show at Mini Fridge Theatre Company! Matthew lives on an acreage with his wife and so many cats.

He enjoys a good dad joke, eating food, and the outdoors.

Kassidy_Guy2

Kassidy Guy

"Rachel Ann"

Kass is thrilled to be returning to the stage for her second performance with Mini Fridge Theatre Company. We last saw Kass as Mary Meekly in Paul Slade Smith’s Unnecessary Farce.

When she’s not on an emotional rollercoaster as Rachel, Kass enjoys camping and curling up with a good book.

Kass wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to all her friends and family who took the time to travel and attend this show. She loves you all very much.

Headshot of actor and director Collin Semenoff from Saskatoon's Mini Fridge Theatre Company

Collin Semenoff

Director

Collin's last time in the MFT director's chair was for the 2023 holiday production of Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot (or Holmes for the Holidays) and he's delighted to be sharing director duties this year on Paul Elliott's Exit Laughing.

Collin would like to dedicate his contributions to this show to his dad, Les Semenoff, and father-in-law, Ron Poppenheim, who each passed away within the last 12 months but would have most definitely agreed with the idea to 'exit laughing'!

Special thanks to his husband Jason Poppenheim, and the family and friends who have patiently supported Collin while he's been deep diving in the business of theatre and the magic of make-believe.

Gareth_Nicol_2

Gareth Nicol

Director
Set Design & Construction

Gareth is delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Collin, the stage managers, and our very talented cast to bring this last show of our ninth season to you this evening. He hopes that you very much enjoy the performance.

Gareth may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot, but don’t be fooled, he really is an idiot.

Headshot of actor Rachelle Kosokowsky from Saskatoon's dinner theatre Mini Fridge Theatre Company

Rachelle Kosokowsky

Stage Manager

Rachelle is pleased to return for another Mini Fridge show, this time behind the stage.

Rachelle has been fortunate enough to be a part of Mini Fridge Theatre Company since its inception. You last saw her on stage as reporter Helen Thorndyke in Pat Cook’s Murder in the Wings and, in 2019, working behind the scenes as stage manager of MFT’s French farces by Georges Feydeau.

Rachelle is excited to be a part of such a talented cast and crew on this production of Exit Laughing. She hopes each of you enjoy the show, are living life to the fullest and, as Mary says, exit laughing.

Kristen_Bilawchuk

Kristen Bilawchuk

Assistant Stage Manager

Kristen is thrilled to be returning as assistant stage manager in her second Mini Fridge Theatre Company production. Her first role as ASM was for Mini Fridge’s It’s Murder in the Wings! by Pat Cook in the fall of 2024. She is excited to be working with both familiar and new faces this spring.

When she isn’t busy with her new-found passion for local theatre, she’s working on her tap dancing skills at SaskExpress.

She hopes you enjoy Exit Laughing as much as she enjoyed being a part of it!
