Season 5 at Mini Fridge Theatre Company: The season that hit pause—but not the passion
Mini Fridge Theatre Company’s fifth season was unlike any other. With the world in flux and stages going dark, the company made the tough—but caring—decision to prioritize safety and postpone its planned productions. While the curtains didn’t rise as we'd hoped, the spirit of theatre never left the building.
After delivering a long-delayed season closer in October 2020, the rest of the season was placed on hold due to the ongoing pandemic. But even in the quiet, the creativity simmered. Season 5 became a testament to the resilience of Saskatoon’s theatre community and the enduring love for live performance, laughter and connection—even when shared from a distance.
